A day to discover one of the most beautiful trails of the Portofino Park.

We will start from the homonymous village, one of the European centers of elite tourism, following the valloncino of  Vessinaro along a path partly paved and partly dirt will reach 230 mt. above the sea level. This height, already on the way, we will have a pleasant view both of Portofino is subsequently on the south wall of the mountain.
We will move from mesophilic vegetation in the eastern area of the park where once were cultivated brown from the sea, the more distinctly Mediterranean vegetation of pine trees, olive trees, broom etc.
A succession of villas initially will accompany us along our path, and then give way to the only unspoiled nature. Our journey to this point easily in costs will continue without too many ups and downs and this will allow us to fully enjoy the scents and the beauty of the place.
the birdlife here is very present but still easy to see in the migration periods, the upstream area is one of the places to stop for excellence and for many passerines (about 53 species) and for Grebes, coots and different kinds of ducks wild.
Stage along the horizon begin to reveal the singular village of San Fruttuoso with its fascinating millenary Abbey.
We descend along the uncertain path that will take us to the small village accessible only by boat or on foot.
In the village, we will have time for a well deserved lunch in a caracteristic restaurant  close to the sea. The specialties of course are typical of tigullio and the paradise goulf, with an eye in particular for recipes based on fresh fish from the area, like the Ligurian sea bream, sea bass in salt, and the famous red prawns from Santa Margherita Ligure lemon or grilled.
In the afternoon after an interesting visit to the village, we have some free time to relax on the beach or to visit the interesting museum inside the medioval abbey of the Doria family.
We head back towards Camogli with private boat, where we could admire the steep and beautiful conglomerate coast from another very impressive prospect. Arrived in the village, a short vistit and some free time will make us appreciate this ancient fishing village, still very active today in the summer events organized by its residents as the Stella Maris.
the day draws to a close and then return to our hotel, by train or minivan.
